Bishop Mark is inviting couples to a Marriage Convalidation
Ceremony on November 29th a the Cathedral. He will
celebrate a simple service for couples already civilly married
who wish to have their marriage recognized by the Church.
The service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on the Sunday of
Thanksgiving weekend at the Cathedral. The ceremony itself
(not a Mass) begins together and then moves to individual
vows and rings. It usually lasts about an hour. Bishop Mark
has had wonderful success with this event when he was in
Boston and he is excited to bring the opportunity to our
diocese.
Couples interested in having their marriage should call the
office for the necessary paperwork by November 1.
